Re-Calibration

You should consider re-calibrate the battery if you are not sure about the battery health.

Here is the step to perform battery re-calibration for Unraid server:

1. Stop Unraid APC UPS Daemon.
2. RUN apctest from command-line.
3. Select Option 2) Perform self-test.
4. Once done, select Option 10) Perform battery calibration.
5. Start Unraid APC UPS Daemon again.
6. You should see the new runtime estimation on Unraid server.

Battery Replacement

If the Re-Calibration does not help increase the runtime estimation, then it is time to actually replace the battery.

Here is the step to replace the battery:

1. Shutdown the system.
2. Unplug everything from the UPS.
3. Replace the battery.
4. Power on the system.
5. Once the system is online, stop Unraid APC Daemon.
6. RUN apctest from command-line.
7. Select Option 2) Perform self-test.
8. Once done, select Option 4) View/Change battery date. At this step, you should update the battery change date.
